The Rocket Language Courses have sold over 300,000 products over the years and is one of the world’s biggest leaders in downloadable language software and programs. Rocket languages offer many programs, among them Rocket Spanish remains a best seller. If there are many people buying a program does it mean it works? Can Rocket Spanish live up to the claims of teaching you Spanish like at rocket speeds?
As a person who has tried other language learning software such as Rosetta Stone or Fluenz, I can honestly offer a comparison of the Rocket Language Spanish program with other courses that claim to teach fast Spanish.
Here is what I’ve found. As a whole, the Rocket Spanish course is very comprehensive. It’s filled with information that pertains to speaking Spanish in Mexico or Latin America if that’s your objective. If you are looking for a course that teaches formal Spanish or Spanish as it’s spoken in Spain than this program isn’t for you. Even though the focus of the material is learning to speak conversational Spanish with friends and family, Rocket Spanish does explain when it is necessary to change the verbage to show respect when speaking with strangers.
The interactive audio lessons were designed to have you speaking Spanish fast. You right away be saying and responding to Spanish phrases. The audio lessons offer many chances for repetition and practice. The best part of the audio lessons are the fact they come on mp3 formats so you can put them on your ipod or mp3 player and play them anywhere. This feature isn’t available with all language learning programs.There is also written content to supplement the interactive lessons that help you learn how the language is written and helpful hints along the way that help you understand what really matters when speaking Spanish in the real world. I suppose the best part of Rocket Spanish is how practical the content is. The main focus of the course is showing you confidently how to speak Spanish and understand it.
Lastly, there is a software component to the course that teaches verbs and helps you build your vocabulary quickly and easily by listening and viewing pictures. Every learner will benefit from all the different types of learning components there are in this course. However, my only complaint would have to be that Rocket Spanish is not very fluid in organization or lay out of the material. For example if you would like to listen to the audio and read along at the same time then you are searching for different information from all the material. I suppose some might think of this as flexibility built into the program because you can print out exercises or just listen to audio or play games. You choose how you want to learn the material. Personally, I like something that seems to flow a little more. Rocket Spanish does however, have many options and opportunities to learn Spanish with different types of formats and at your own pace. I’m sure most people would find that this is a huge feature of this program.
If cost is a factor than take a look at Rocket Spanish. You will save a ton of money on shipping and packaging if you purchase the download version of the course. The overall cost is less than other brands and in my opinion gives this course an edge on the competition. Not to mention, you can start learning Spanish right away instead of waiting for it to arrive in the mail. Based on the excellent content you receive in this course it makes the program an terrific value for the money.
